The Gifts She Wants

It’s the time of year when we want to make sure the moms in our lives get something special. Although they deserve to be treated year-round of course! As a busy mom myself, juggling all the things between family, work, and friends, my self-care is usually the first to go. I wanted to focus on some gifts for busy moms who don’t have a lot of time for themselves; a gift that lets them know you appreciate them and makes them feel important. A gift that will hopefully encourage her to make self-care a priority! I know any mom would love these gifts. I own and love #1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 11.

The Gift of Time

However, if you want to skip getting her a physical gift this year, I love this idea as a self-care gift for moms from whatmomslove.com:

“Ask for time, not gifts: As you get older, do you find yourself saying “I don’t need anything for my birthday….really, don’t bother!”. But guess what? You DO need something: TIME. So let your partner or close friends and family know that instead of physical gifts, what you’d like is a night of babysitting, a carpooling pass, or a kids’ sleepover at someone else’s house!”

So often, so much of the mental load falls on moms. The gift of time allows her that reprieve for her own self-care. Send her out for some alone time at a coffee shop and have her come back to a completely clean house. Get her a gift card to a local spa and let her know she doesn’t have to worry about a thing. I know a night away at a hotel is also a dream for many moms! The gift of time is so meaningful and necessary. Of course, you can always give the gift of time paired with one of my suggestions below!
