Styling Tips To Look Put Together
Style Tweak #1: Roll Up Your Sleeves
The first style tip to make an outfit feel more polished and put together is rolling up your sleeves. It works whether it’s a jean jacket, blazer, or button-up shirt. This simple styling tweak can change the whole feel of a look. It adds more intention to the outfit, making it look thought out and put together. Also, it’s introducing a relaxed, effortless, and casual vibe to your overall style.
Style Tweak #2: Waist Definition
The next easy tip that can completely change how an outfit looks is defining your waist. You can do this with a belt if that aligns more with your personal style. Another way I love to define my waist is by doing a French tuck or half tuck. This simple tweak helps define an outfit, gives it shape, and creates better proportions for your body. Also, this styling choice elongates your lower half and makes the entire outfit look styled and put together. Alternatively, you can do a full tuck, which might appeal to someone with a preppy style or for a more polished look in a work environment. Altogether, defining your waist is an easy, simple tweak that can transform the entire look of an outfit.

Style Tweak #3: Adding A Layer
The next simple tip is adding a layer. Adding a layer to an outfit gives it dimension and makes it more interesting. Typically, I always recommend choosing something streamlined, fitted, and tailored to the body. These qualities help make an outfit appear more polished and put together. Generally, a layer can be anything like a cardigan or jacket. Additionally, if you leave it unbuttoned, it adds that extra dimension, making the outfit feel intentional. When styling your pieces, think about creating a look that feels intentional because these simple tweaks can take your outfit from just clothes to a styled and put-together look.
Style Tweak #4: Intentional Footwear
The next tip is to be intentional with your shoe choice. Shoes can completely change the feel of an outfit. You can take the same look and transform it from casual to chic by swapping sneakers for heels. Instead of slipping on something quick and easy, choose shoes that truly pull the whole look together.
Along the same lines, think about your bag with the same level of intention. Don’t just grab any bag. Select one that adds a style element to your outfit. Additionally, opt for something that reflects your personal style, has structure, or comes in a color you love. These small details can make a big difference, completely changing the overall feel of your outfit.
Style Tweak #5: Add Jewelry
Finally, the last way to transform an outfit from just wearing clothes to having a styled look is by adding jewelry. For example, I prefer a minimal style, choosing classic, simple pieces that align with my taste. These minimal pieces might be understated, but they add a subtle yet significant detail to my overall look. If you enjoy statement jewelry, consider adding a statement earring or another bold piece that draws attention and complements your outfit. The key is to choose jewelry that feels true to your style. By focusing on these small details, you can completely elevate your outfit, making it feel more stylish, polished, and put together.
