What’s Your Personal Style?
This post is focusing on the trendy style type. If the pieces in your closet you wear and love the most tend to be the latest trends, then your personal style type might be the trendy style type. Some of the things that define this style type are if you are interested in wearing the latest trends or having the hottest color of the season. A trendy style type gets excited each season about bringing on-trend pieces into your closet. You’re not interested in a capsule wardrobe if you’re the trendy style type. Additionally, your personal style type can and most likely will change over time as you go through different phases and seasons of your life.
If you don’t know what your style is, you might be wasting time, energy, and money buying things that you never wear because it doesn’t feel like you. Your unique personal style may fall into several different types of style, and identifying which one you are is going to be helpful when you’re trying to curate a closet of pieces that you love.

Trendy Style Type
Look 1: Hailey Beiber
When I think of a celebrity that has a trendy style type, the first one that comes to mind is Hailey Bieber. You’ll see every season, her style is defined by the latest trends and colors. In this first look, she’s wearing an oversized coat. The oversized trend has been here for a while and is still going strong for this fall and winter. She’s someone who enjoys wearing this trend even with something basic and simple like the outfit she has on underneath.
Look 2: Hailey Beiber
Here she’s wearing a men’s wear-inspired suit in this red color that’s on trend for fall and winter. Another big trend for fall and winter is wearing suits. She’s incorporated it here with a hoodie underneath and she’s styling it with a pair of chic sneakers. An androgynous style type will also wear menswear-inspired pieces, but they’re not going to choose the color based on the color of the season.

In this next look, she’s wearing another big trend for fall and winter which is the black leather trench coat. If you’re someone who is embracing the trends, you may be drawn to find something similar to wear.

In this next look, she’s wearing oversized denim jeans with a pleated in the front. The pleated front is another trend that we’re seeing, and she’s wearing her oversized coat to finish the look. Hailey is styling it with a pair of trainers which are also on trend.
Look 1: Gigi Hadid
For this next look, there are elements of an edgy style type. Gigi Hadid is wearing a rocker tee with faux leather leggings. She styled this look with an oversized denim jacket with patches and a pair of androgynous-styled oxfords. The shoes are trendy instead of androgynous because they have colorful laces.

The next celebrity that falls into the trendy personal style type is Kendall Jenner. In this first look, she’s wearing the denim-on-denim trend. She has on a crop top, and her jeans have a wider leg. She’s styling them with a pair of chic trainers, so although this feels simple, it’s still on trend for fall and winter.

The next look has elements of an edgy style type. She’s wearing head-to-toe black, high boots, and leather which feels edgy. I chose to share it as a trendy style type because she’s wearing a big fall trend a long black leather trench coat. She incorporates both edgy and trendy personal style types. When you’re thinking of what your style is, it probably falls into more than one style type.

The next celebrity that embodies the trendy style type is Jennifer Lopez. In this first look, she has a long white denim skirt. which is a big trend we’re seeing. Additionally, her shoes have a big platform and heel which is on trend. Although her black turtleneck can go into a classic or a minimal style type, she chose to style it more trendy in this look.

In this next look, she wears pleated faux leather oversized pants paired with chic white trainers and an oversized black coat. These elements are on trend and why she fits into this style type.
